[ Speaking officially, this planet sucks. Jace had actually been feeling relatively good about this mission. Relatively, in that although he's not where he ought to be, although his life has been royally fucked up by this little adventure, this part of it had looked like an easy win. In, get what they need, out again. Simple.

Of course it hadn't been simple. He's been separated from his group for the last hour, after he launched himself headfirst into a pack of...whatever those goddamn aliens had been, and he's been looking for them ever since. He's used to fighting alongside people who know what they're doing. People who know how he moves, who he can anticipate, and who can anticipate him. Every single time he raises his blade here, he wishes he had Alec at his back.

Failing that, he wishes he had anyone.

Left alone, he'd activated his Unseen and Soundless runes, hoping to avoid unwanted attention while he looks for them. The only sound he makes now is when he puts his seraph blade through the tentacled thing in the bushes behind her, and kicks its corpse out in full view. Annoyed, Jace pulls out his stele and runs them over the runes. It makes him appear as if from nowhere, grass-stained and covered in alien slime. He's had a rough day.

This one got tired of waiting.

[ He's still holding his seraph blade, which casts a cool light on the ground ahead of them. Jace hefts it, putting it back into the sheath on his back. The sword vanishes as soon as it's there, and Jace strides forward to look at the girl. ]

Where's your team? I lost mine, and these things are everywhere.
